Loose Gatherings
Expressing the touch of different diseases, my body is collapsed into 6 different, partial compositions. Body, limbs and extremities have been affected, identified, recorded and rendered with digital processes. Holding positions that suggest a carrying or showing of something that has become absent or lost, the body is made into its own decorative object to be observed. Instead of applying silk to the body for optimisation, the body has been applied to and through the surface of the material; this reversal facilitates the de/construction of body, image and material. By creating kin with silk - its living makers and protein natures - I foster an intimate view of our influential non/human counterparts.
