Nothing is Solid

This cross-disciplinary research approach exhibited objects, photography, moving images, soundscapes and literature influenced by Icelandic, Scandinavian and Scottish terrains and waters.

Using porcelain, steel, plastic and gold, hollow and ambiguous forms were made to explore our relationship with the earth, its resources, and our transitioning geosphere's response to human influence and manipulation. Arranged compositions of artefacts revealed soothing, meditative textures with occasional alarming and disruptive surfaces; enacting that which is perceived to be silent and encouraging experiences of the sublime.
