Nothing is Solid

Untitled artefacts in porcelain, steel, plastic and gold explored our relationship to earth’s resources and its response to human influence and manipulation. The extruded cylindrical, hollow forms composed non/wearable objects that referenced humanity’s reliance on pipelines to carry, contain, link, preserve and transport matter. The already fragile, hollow-formed porcelain structures were made to tolerate meticulous handmade textures and the presence of steel and vacuum-formed plastic. Occasionally, discarded porcelain fragments were reintroduced and contained within forms to provide sonic qualities.
